Here’s a few snaps from beautiful Kenwood House, a gorgeous stately home located at the very back of Hampstead Heath – about ten minutes drive down the road from where I live. What I love most about my area is that 25 minutes walk one way takes me to the heart of the city, and 25 minutes walk the other takes me to green rolling lawns, endless woodlands and spectacular views.
Recently I’ve been trying to visit more “traditional” touristy places in London. I often base my adventures around what exhibitions are on, or what pop-up seasonal fun is happening – so it’s easy to forget or overlook attractions that remain largely the same year round such as country homes and pretty gardens.
I didn’t take many photos of the interior of Kenwood House, but you can see the gleaming cream exterior of the house and the stunning landscaped gardens. It was cold outside but still a good day for a long walk and a cup of tea in the cafe… I think I’m developing a bit of a thing for country houses!
It looks so beautiful!

What a beautiful place you have near home.
The dome looks gorgeous as well the outside sitting area. Porch I think might be the name?
What I love of this buildings, manor houses, are the green area, so huge and romantic! I always imagine my self in a Jane Austen novel.
