A trip to the funfair!
As much as I love meticulously planned and laid out theme parks, there is something really charming about the ramshackle nature of funfairs. The colours, the candyfloss, the twinkling lights and the really loud clubbing music; what’s not to love?
A recent date to this little funfair actually took place on one of the rainiest days of the year. Let me tell you, you’ve not been rained on until you’ve been strapped into a car on a revolving piece of metal under a sudden downpour: soaked doesn’t even cover it!
Funfair Beau used to work at a theme park and was having kittens at the exposed wiring and creaking carts on some of the rides, but I think it’s almost more fun with a little danger! We had to laugh at the worlds worst VR ride, the tacky ghost trains (random stuff pinned up inside a dark room, anyone?) and the hanging, corpse-like Olaf snowman on one of the arcade games. What’s your favourite thing about funfairs?
We are gonna get ours in May and of course it will rain. It always rain dogs and cats when funfair comes to town, I was wondering if was just us but looks like we’re not alone xD

I love funfairs too – there’s just something about them that takes me right back to my childhood and what’s better than candyfloss after a ride on the dodgems?! Great shots here too, the colours and lights are lovely. – Tasha

So much rain :) But well, I am sure you had fun! I seldom went to such a lovely place, maybe in Germany yes, where they constantly have “party of this, party of that” (and I lived there, so I was constantly invited to those parties) and there they had places to play and sweets. I love cotton candy, by the way :) You look lovely, loved your cape! Wishing a lovely weekend!

Ramshackle little funfairs definitely have their charms. The creakier the rides the better!

Fun-fairs were some of the brightest parts of our random summers in Britain. Militaristic-me’s favourite part was the TA’s table of weaponry – once they even had a WOMBAT! Great stuff – had they’d had a recruiting booth there I might even have signed up, parents permitting, of course!:)
I’m glad you had fun, despite the rain. :) Did you win anything? I never did, but had a great time anyway.
