Welcome to beautiful Kew Gardens…!
These photos are actually about a month old – I think the longest time I’ve ever had between experiencing something and posting about it! Between Brexit and my illness, things have gotten a bit delayed. I hate posting things late, and I avoid blogs that do that kind of thing often. I get how it happens but it just frustrates me – anyone else or am I alone? These are a postcard from back when we still had beautiful cherry blossoms fluttering around the landscape! I wore a vintage 1950s dress that once belonged to my Grandmother and tried my hardest to blend in.
Kew Gardens hold a lot of special memories for me; I spent a huge amount of time here as a teenager sketching and working on my Art GCSE and A-Level. It’s such a beautiful place and I never tire of visiting the same gardens over and over – just a slight change in the weather, or the seasonal differences in the plants can make the same place feel so very different. We had a textbook early summer day: cherry blossoms, bluebells, ducklings and goslings, soft sunlight, inquisitive foxes, vegan picnics and carpets of daisies. I wonder how things will have changed next time I’m there?
Great,congŕats.

That DRESS. Do you have any pictures of your grandmother wearing it? I’m so glad you’ve kept it in the family, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

I LOVE KEW! I love these photos too – you, your dress (can’t believe that belonged to your grandma? She has brilliant taste!), the cherry blossoms, ducklings and the gorgeous fox. The fox photo really is amazing, I like how you can see the fluffyness of his fur, and he looks like he’s smiling, although I think foxes always look like that. I’ve never been to Kew with the blossoms out, I’ll make sure I’m there for spring next year xx

Such a beautiful dress, belonged to your grandmother, so nice! I liked to see the pictures very much, old or not. Not soooo old :) I know some bloggers that do that and yes, it is a bit strange when it too often. Once in a while is fine :) I loooved the gardens! I lived in England for 6 years, and believe it or not, never went there. It was a time when I didn’t pay attention to nature :( I will go back in January and for sure will visit them – though I know it will be winter!
